HOW ELECTROLYSIS WORKS

Electrolysis is a form of permanent hair removal. At Mirage Beauty Salon, we perform the blend method of electrolysis. Our expert technicians insert a probe into the natural opening of the skin to introduce the galvanic & thermolysis current into the follicle.

The galvanic current creates a chemical reaction within the follicle to destroy the papilla which is the source of blood supply, while the thermolysis current is the source of heat that intensifies that chemical reaction.

Electrolysis requires an ongoing commitment of regular treatments for the hairs to be permanently eliminated. It is not instantaneous. The source of hair growth gets slowly destroyed after multiple treatments.

Since electrolysis introduces a current into the follicle, we have to understand it comes with a level of sensation. The level of sensation greatly ranges from person to person. Some people feel nothing at a high intensity, while some will be more sensitive to the current. The wonderful thing about our technicians is that they are extremely knowledgeable and are able to adjust the intensity to individual tolerance.
